19.06 LAST CHANCE
Mandala Dance Company
“LAST CHANCE” explores the theme of hope and resilience, bringing to the stage a powerful message for the new generations of dancers. The choreography is developed through a series of emotionally intense movements, which symbolize the inner struggle and the search for a better future. The performance addresses the concept of “last chance” as an invitation not to give up in the face of difficulties and to take advantage of every opportunity to grow and overcome limits.
21.06 TERRITORY
Zawirowania Dance Theatre
“Territory” is a performance about the need to define one's identity through the lens of time and space. The protagonists seek assurance of control—over themselves, others, and their shared territory. They strive to tell their stories in their own voices, competing for dominance of perspective. The play explores the various strategies of expansion that each generation undertakes in its own way, as well as a culture that suggests time and space are becoming increasingly scarce. “Territory” is a space of tension—between disappearance, constriction, and reduction, and that which constantly expands and claims more.
22.06 SOUNDS ALIVE
MASH Dance House
In the piece “Sounds Alive”, two women meet during a time of war, connected by a shared fate. At times they are enemies, at other times sisters – but both are inextricably bound to the place and to each other. Their shared journey is filled with moments of both closeness and distance, strength and fragility. The protagonists of “Sounds Alive” attempt to sing, scream, speak – but ultimately, they are only able to produce a single sound through which they tell their story.
23.06 LATE LOVERS OF MOON SNOW
Rozbark Theatre
“Late Lovers of Moon Snow” is a performance steeped in dance and gesture, in which we rediscover a world of artistic inspiration drawn from the work of one of the greatest Belgian surrealists – René Magritte. His extraordinary paintings, full of riddles and paradoxes, serve as the backdrop for an enigmatic and energetic atmosphere created through the physicality of bodies and collective creation, transporting us to a different dimension of perceiving the world. The images are filled with magic, wrapped in an aura of mystery – surprising and entirely unexpected.
24.06 GONG
[Ritmi Sotterranei] Contemporary Dance Company
Between an angelic dream and a devilish nightmare lie perfect places. Utopian scenarios are performed by grim figures, and from the misty and ecstatic sounds of music emerges a choreography that explores the possibilities of blending genres: elements of classical ballet, waltz, and jazz come together to form a language fit for a journey through space and time. Gong is an opportunity to experience all forms of existence – both the desired and the fearsome ones that we cannot encounter in reality.
25.06 AMORE AMARO
Compagnia Francesco Selva
“Amore Amaro” tells the story of the fear of love’s end, of a sense of loss and disconnection. The hearts of the stage lovers are weighed down by the routine of everyday life, and over time, love brings only boredom, accompanied by grotesque irony and ruthless cynicism. “Amore Amaro” is a story of failure and unfulfillment – something each of us must face when we choose to love.
26.06 SIMPOSIO
Compagnia Bellanda
Since the time of Plato, there has been an intense search for the unique, complete body: from the “hermaphrodites” in Aristophanes’ speech – beings of supernatural strength and form – to the “divided,” separate bodies we possess today. This is why the bond between two people remains eternally unfulfilled – because we can no longer return to being “one body.” We are driven by a timeless desire for reunion, which animates and moves our bodies. The difficulty of finding, maintaining, and nurturing a relationship pushes us toward growing individualism and leads to a decreasing willingness to accept compromise in connection with others.
26.06 LA DOLCE VITA
Compagnia Bellanda
“La Dolce Vita” is a constant wavering between reality and dream. Two bodies, driven by passion and the obsession of love, stripped of words, filled with aggression and rebellion – each trying to convince the other of its own truth. “La Dolce Vita” is an attempt to understand the deep nature of love and a story about crossing the boundaries of doubt that overcome us when we choose to love.
26.06 I - TERESA
Stefano Silvino, Magdalena Agata Wójcik
"I – Teresa" is a culminating solo from Fashion Beach, choreographed by Silvia Silvino. In this final moment, the protagonist appears before the audience completely exposed and alone, stripped of protection. It marks a breaking point — a moment of shedding masks and revealing herself both physically and emotionally. This act of unveiling signifies a rupture with illusion: the character discards external defenses to confront herself and the audience with the raw truth. The solo explores a woman’s struggle for acceptance in a world driven by superficial judgments, challenging the audience to reflect on how far we are willing to go to meet the ideals of beauty.
27.06 CHASING...
Zawirowania Dance Theatre
The protagonists of the play “Chasing…” are young people caught in a never-ending race, not always knowing what it is they’re truly chasing. Their stories intertwine in a series of dynamic scenes, filled with sharp humor and bittersweet reflection. She and He – young, full of dreams, convinced the world is theirs for the taking. They believe that love and ambition are enough to achieve anything. They meet and part, argue, love, and hurt each other. But are they able to pause for a moment to understand what truly matters to them?
28.06 TIMELESS PASSION
Fabula Saltica
“Timeless Passion” is anticipation, expectancy, curiosity about what is yet to come. A constant push and pull – like two opposing poles. A synergy of two bodies searching for each other, striving to reunite. Eroticism, born from the longing for a kiss yet to happen, or from the lingering taste of one that has just ended. Here, words and gestures are merely a prelude to what fate has already written.
28.06 VACIO
OtraDanza
“Vacío” is a duet that paints a magical landscape within an urban environment, inhabited by two figures detached from everyday life. In contrast to the relentless pace of the city, its noise and chaos, “Vacío” seeks to bring a distant, delicate, and beautiful landscape into the heart of daily urban existence.
29.06 NOYA
Djam Neguin
The title Noya, a polysemic term in Cape Verdean Creole slang, carries a double meaning. In its positive use, it refers to something “admirable”, “notable”, “well-done”. On the opposite end, it can describe something “eccentric”, “misfit”, “out of the norm”. This semantic play is reflected in the dramaturgy of the performance, where the body is made and remade, transitioning between signs and challenging fixed categorizations.
29.06 LINES OF THE BODY, LINES OF THE CITY
Zawirowania Dance Academy
(side event)
“Lines of the Body, Lines of the City” (chor. Elwira Piorun, Krzysztof Łuczak) is a performance set in open urban space, which becomes its stage. Dancers inhabiting this space reinterpret it — at times becoming extensions of the architecture, at others engaging in dialogue with it. The project explores how urban structures and nature can inspire movement and influence its interpretation. Through their choreography, the dancers lead the audience on an immersive journey, encouraging a new perspective on familiar cityscapes.
30.06 ES AQUI
Cía. Daniel Abreu
“Es aquí” is a project born from a long reflection on the experience of being “uprooted”; on the value of belonging – not just to others, but to a territory; on the contact between feet and the ground that supports both bodies and ideas; ultimately, on the sense of being part of something. As imaging technology becomes more refined, our surroundings grow increasingly blurred. Without a home, everything falls apart. “To live in many places and die everywhere” – this is the new mantra of existence.
1.07 WERT
Tanzcompagnie/Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau
“Wert” creates a space where dancers embody their biographical elements and individual emotional worlds, while simultaneously confronting the physical challenges and expectations of professional dance life. This synthesis of personal expression and athletic discipline leads to a deeper understanding of the dancer’s identity in the contemporary world, embracing both the artistic and athletic dimensions.
